Craig Ranch Park is North Las Vegas largest park. To demonstrate, prior to becoming a park this area was used for a 18 hole golf course. This beautiful park reminds me of Sunset Park. You can find the park on Craig Rd a few blocks away from The Cannery and across the street from Ella Ems Soul Food ( 628 W Craig Rd, North Las Vegas, NV 89032 ).
First and foremost, the park is 170 acres large. Park hours are 6am to 11pm, 7 days a week. There is plenty of lights for after dark enjoyment. I am really surprised how nice the park turn out after being a golf course.
Parking is free, unless you attend an event. Then there may a small fee. Otherwise there are lots of spots throughout the park.
This park has many amenities, Here are a few dedicated area to enjoy. Everything from sand volleyball courts, tennis Courts, and basketball courts.
Also, there are baseball fields, skate park which allows bikes, community gardens and dog park. Plenty of restroom facilities scattered around the park. A couple of ponds and plenty of benches along the walkways.
Plus, the Amp, outdoor amphitheater is an 8000 seat venue which host many community shows. No matter the reason, I would highly recommend venturing out and visiting this place. May it be a special event, try out a sport, or simply to take a walk.
Craig Ranch Park
There is always events scheduled here. For instance, I was here to check out the annual balloon glow fest. This is a wonderful time checking out up close hot air balloons. You can watch how they inflate a balloon or if you want, get a ride up in the air on a tethered balloon.
In conclusion, I am very impressed with the park. It is very big with many different areas to enjoy random things. It is very clean and has plenty of lighting at night. Not to mention all the events that are held here.Lastly, more information on Craig Ranch Park.
