In fact, the festival is organized by Clark County Parks and Recreation and features a variety of activities. Including historical re-enactments, medieval pageantry, and more than 100 artisans who demonstrate and sell their wares. Significantly, the festival is held at one of the largest parks, and attracts thousands of visitors every year.

There is an entrance fee of $16.50 for adult. There is security and first aid there 24 hours a day supporting the fenced off area. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. This unique setup allows for camping during the 3 day fest. For the camping enthusiast, there is a site allowing camping. You can rent a Yurt or bring your own tent and camp out. The only down side is the camp site is on lock down between 11pm and 7am. You can bring your own food and beverages into the camping site.

Renaissance Fest experience

The entire fest encircles Sunset park lake. Primarily, I would suggest you take the time to venture around the entire lake checking out all the vendor, clans, and especially the people. For example, there are more people dressed up in period costumes than people who where not. Most importantly, I thought it was a really fun experience.

Chiefly, the festival is a great chance to learn about the medieval era and experience it firsthand. Specifically, visitors can witness, black powder demonstrations, strolling minstrels, magicians, storytellers, jokers, jugglers, belly dancers, trained parrots and pirates (lots of pirates). The fest also offers camel rides, axe target games, medieval barber and surgeon demonstrations and Renaissance guilds.

The festival is also gives an opportunity to sample authentic food from the medieval era. For example, there are over two dozen food vendors. To demonstrate, from fish and chips to an English feast, there are plenty of options available for visitors to indulge in. Also, Sir Rodney’s Legs (turkey leg), El Dogs Grill (Polish hot dog), and there are even Alcohol vendors.

In conclusion, everyone should visit the Age of Chivalry fair looking for medieval history or looking for for fun day out with family and or friends. Notably, with its wide range of activities and attractions, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. So if you’re in Las Vegas during the festival season (October), be sure to check it out!
