Nom Wah is a great Dim Sum spot. Serving up very tasty dumplings. A fun place to share items with friends. I enjoyed it very much and will return.
Nom Wah

Nom Wah is a great Dim Sum spot. Newly opened inside the Rampart Casino. That is, a really good spot to go with someone to share some very tasty food. Nom Wah is a expansion of the original in New York City which opened in 1920. I know I will return.

Chiefly, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Since this was our first visit they took the extra time to explain everything. From how many items come to a order. Additionally, pointing out the popular items. To clarify, she even explained all the different sauces.

To demonstrate, I went early dinner time to avoid the dinner rush. I lucked out and got the entire place to ourselves. According to the staff, this place can become very busy. So much so that there is over flow seating all around if needed. After eating here I know why.

To illustrate, the best part is the ability to share and try a lot of different items. They have a picture menu just outside if you need it. Otherwise, you just get a list to check off all the items you like to try. My server was nice and put the pieces per order. Also stared the popular items.

Undoubtedly, I will highly recommend the Peking Duck Buns. In fact, they are a popular item. I can understand why. It was very tasty duck in a aioli sauce in a very soft bun. Everyone agreed this is a very tasty item. Must try.

Nom Wah Dumplings

Additionally, we wanted to try the different dumplings. I personally like the pan-fried style. It gives it a little crust for texture and taste. For example, the Chicken and Cabbage dumplings were a very choice. I personally like cabbage and I enjoy them very much. Also, the Pork and Shrimp dumplings were very good too. I was surprised when my friend ate all of his.

We also tried the Pork and Shrimp Siu Mai. These were great little bites. They were topped of with some roe that gave it a pop. Once again, my friend ate all of them. Even though he does not like sea food.

I also tried the Turnip Cakes with Taro Crust. I have never tried this and I found it interesting. There is a nice crusty shell and the center is soft and tender. A different texture. But dipping it in the sauce I found it to be good. I would actually order this again.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a good dim sum place, give this spot a try. The staff is super friendly and helpful. All the food is great. Perfect for sharing with friends. I enjoyed it a lot and I know I will make the drive again to try it again. Lastly, you can find more information on Nom Wah (Las Vegas) site.

To that end, I shall return. Notwithstanding, it can get expensive really quickly.
