In the first place, here is their story. The art of noodle making is an ancient practice in China. The earliest records dating between 25-200 AD. Shang Artisan Noodle focuses on the traditions specific to Shan-Xi. A landlocked northern province where wheat cultivation thrives. The kneading and hand-pulling dough is still executed by skilled artisans. Silken and springy in equal measure, the noodles are used in a diverse array of hot and cold dishes that reflect the unique culture of this particular region.

With an emphasis on high quality ingredients, classic techniques, and thoughtful presentations, they want to delight their guests with an affordable meal that satisfies all of their senses. Shang Mian food

For example, the evening I went I started with the Cucumber Salad with Sesame Sauce. I really enjoyed this starter and had a very different taste. This Cucumber Salad was nothing like any other cucumber salad I have eaten before.

In addition, I had the Spicy Pork Dumplings. This was 6 dumpling pieces. Each made with minced pork, cabbage, green onion, all in a spicy soy sauce. This spicy sauce was the right temperature. Hot but not overwelming.

Specifically, my main was the Pork Belly Noodle. Braised pork bell, bok choy, and green onions. All in a very good pork and chicken broth. Everything comes down to the both. I really enjoyed mine and I will definitely be back.

Notwithstanding, A popular dish is Spicy Beef Noodle. Made with spicy beef and chicken broth. Braised beef brisket, bok choy, and green onions. For a complete listing of their menu on their site. Hours: Daily 11:30 am – 9:30 pm.

In conclusion, Shang Mian is a artisan noodle house. That is, the broth is very good compliment to the excellent noodles served up here. In similar fashion, there is always room at the bar for single seating. Lastly, more information on Shang Mian site.
