Black Bear Diner

Black Bear Diner preparing home cooked meals. They have several locations in the valley.   We went to the Henderson location. It is across the street from Weiss Deli on Green Valley Pkwy (2751 N Green Valley Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89014).

In the first place, founded 1995 in Mount Shasta, California. Two guys came up with the idea of Black Bear Diner. Specifically, home cooked meals with exceptional service. That is, driven by values of diner with great quality and personal service. Moreover, a total Locations 158 diners in 14 states. Their best selling menu item is the Chicken Fried Steak. Especially, the diner is known for the large portions and home cooking and excellent service.

In fact, there is plenty of seating in the log cabin theme establishment. Divided into 3 different seating section. Notably, they have tables, booths and even has a counter area near the kitchen. In addition to all the food, there is a small section selling stuff all with Black Bear logo. For example, Mugs, glasses, sauce, bears, and even socks.

In fact, everyone receives a news paper upon sitting down. It is actually their menu. Furthermore, each table has a stock pile of condiments. Including 3 different bear sauces. Papa, Mama, and baby bear sauce. “Papa Burn” – Habanero pepper . “Mama Burn” – Chipotle pepper. “Baby burn” – Original.

When we went we ordered the Western BBQ Burger and Open Faced Turkey. The Western BBQ Burger – sweet bbq sauce, chedder, and onion rings. With a side of onion rings. Cant get enough of that. The onion rings were great and very crispy. For example, when you took a bite one you only got that small piece of onion and not the entire onion ring. Additionally, the Open Faced Hot Turkey Sandwich – turkey on sliced bread with mashed potatoes and gravy and cranberry sauce.
